Addicted to Porn? It May Impact Your Performance!

by Peter Passion on September 15, 2009

People enjoy sex and the porn industry has grown from people’s fascination with sex. Porn provides an outlet for many people to live vicariously through the porn stars, experiencing things in their fantasies that they would never normally encounter in real life. However, there are many that develop an addiction to porn and this addiction inhibits their performance in real sexual situations.

This addiction to porn has resulted in a condition that has been referred to as “porn creep”, where men in general, develop an inability to get an erection unless they are exposed to pornography. Some doctors have said that this condition occurs because these men have developed a disassociation between sex and human contact.

In male virgins, the effects of porn creep can be severe because these men have never had any association with humans in a sexual setting. They have no prior association with humans and sex, making it more difficult to make the connection required to become aroused when porn is not involved.

Some doctors argue that porn creep does not exist, yet several studies have shown that people who develop a porn addiction do have a more difficult time becoming aroused in real life situations. Additionally, these individuals tend to have more extreme views of sex in general.

Are you addicted to porn? Does porn creep really exist?

While there are conflicting views, as with anything, moderation is something that should be used even when enjoying the world of porn.
